Description
This is Graycee, a 2 1/2 year old Border Collie that was left at a shelter in Kentucky as an owner surrender along with her brother Jax. Although extremely shy, Graycee is one of the sweetest dogs once she knows and trusts you. She is a real wonderful little girl but, even though she is great around her foster mom, she still has problems trusting her foster dad and has severe fear and insecurity around strangers. Graycee has no problems making friends in the animal world though. She loves other dogs and is respectful of the cats that live with her too. This girl will only go to an experienced Border Collie home willing to continue working with her. Due to her insecurities and sensitivity to noises and fast movements, we will only allow her to go to a home with children over the age of 10. We are currently taking her to basic obedience classes to help build her confidence and social skills, it is slow going at this time. Graycee is about 18 inches at the shoulder and weighs in right around 36 pounds. Graycee is crate trained and very quiet while crated, is housetrained, and is your basic toy obssessed Border Collie although, she doesn't always want to bring the object of her desire all the way back to you to be thrown again. She wants to keep it for herself sometimes. Graycee has been spayed, is up to date on vaccines, heartworm tested negative and is on both heartworm preventive and a flea/tick preventative.
