All Planned Pethood dogs and puppies are altered (spayed/neutered) and fully vetted prior to adoption. Dog breed is a best guess by the vet and/or Petfinder breed expert findings. We cannot guarantee breed, weight, age of dogs or final adult size of puppies. Amethyst, called "Amber" by her foster mom, was adopted out at 8 weeks old (see her picture with her siblings to the left). During your research, please remember that medical references oftentimes include the worse of the worse. Amber is receiving treatment in her foster home and is doing well. She is now 1 1/2 years old, so her adoptive family would have the best of both worlds. She is housebroken, out of the "puppy" stage, and is calm in the house, but yet still has the energy for walks and playtime. She gets along with the resident dogs and cats and seems to be good with kids, although there are no kids in her foster home. A fenced-in yard is preferred, but an electric fence will be considered on a case by case basis.
