All Planned Pethood dogs and puppies are altered (spayed/neutered) and fully vetted prior to adoption. Dog breed is a best guess by the vet and/or Petfinder breed expert findings. We cannot guarantee breed, weight, age of dogs or final adult size of puppies. Flip and his brother Flop, are 2 month old male Lab/Shepherd mixed puppies who are looking for a new home. Flip (the one with the white chest) and Flop (the all black one) are the only two puppies from a litter of 9 that were given to Planned Pethood. One of our volunteers learned that the owners were giving away the puppies when they were only 2 weeks old. The puppies were being bottle fed because their mom had an infection, causing her milk to dry up. Even though arrangements were made for Planned Pethood to take all of the puppies, the owners still gave away the other puppies. After a few days in their foster home, Flop began showing the signs of Parvo. He barely survived after being in the hospital for 7 days, on an IV, and receiving a blood transfusion. We can only wonder how many of the other puppies are still alive. But now Flip and Flop are available for adoption. They will need the proper guidance and training to help them reach their full potential of social, obedient, happy adult dogs. Since they are already active boys, a fence in yard is required.
